 Mission Emanuel is the Dominican Republic mission arm of The Gathering/USA, that provides short-term work projects for people dedicated to improving the lives of the Dominican people through health care, education, housing, better living conditions, clean water, and the teachings of Jesus.
Over the course of two decades and in partnership with the Dominican people, we have constructed a church, two schools, two medical clinics, a dental clinic, a water purification system, and homes in the communities of Nazaret and Cielo, near Santo Domingo. Over 500 students attend our schools. Many of these students are sponsored by caring people who are making a difference... one student at a time.
Columbus participates in four annual trips. Construction projects and community relationship building are the primary focus of our trips.
