The Leadership Forum provides the very best in leadership and character development training while addressing such critical areas as personal and corporate values, ethics, and integrity. Past Leadership Forum Co-Sponsors include:

The Youth Initiative Project:
The Youth Initiative Project is a partnership of local and national businesses and organizations that serve the moral, educational, and character-development needs of youth. Pilot Project for The Youth Initiative Project is “Rachels Challenge”, a high school assembly program with Dana Scott, sister of slain Columbine High School student, Rachel Joy Scott. “Rachels Challenge” trains young people to reach out to those in their schools who are handicapped, neglected, new to school, or picked on by others. Every March, The Gathering sponsors a breakfast where a local or national leader has the platform to share their faith with other business, professional, or government leaders. Past speakers have included Tom Lynch, Paula Inniss, Jim Tressel, Bobby Bowden, Wayne Huizenga Jr., Adolph Coors IV, and Tony Dungy.

Every fall, the Leadership Prayer Breakfast gathers men and women to participate in a growing Columbus tradition. The stated purpose is to “deepen the spiritual life and moral fiber of leaders from all walks of life.” Past speakers have included: Elizabeth Dole, Zig Ziglar, Dr. Tony Campolo, Dr. Benjamin Carson, Dr. Myles Munroe, and Darrell Scott of Columbine.
Education       Healthcare       Mission Projects
The Avondale Elementary Tutoring Program (A partnership with Mission Columbus and the Franklinton Ministerial Association) matches reliable caring adults with children to improve their reading and math proficiency. The Gathering, in partnership with www.MissionEmanuel.org, provides healthcare and educational resources in addition to building schools, medical clinics, dental facilities, and homes for families and children in the Dominican Republic.
The Pete Armstrong Dental Clinic provides dental care in a modern fully-equipped office.

The Mary Lynch Budd Health Clinic provides pre-natal care, check-ups, and medical treatment for children, averaging 4800 clinic visits and 1200 vaccinations annually.

600 Students receive books, shoes, and clothing while attending schools built through our efforts.

Mission Teams travel to the Dominican Republic four to six times per year for the purpose of renovating, expanding, or building medical, dental, and school facilities to meet the needs of some of the poorest citizens in our hemisphere.
